Barking Blade Design Co. is a one-man show.

That is, unless you count the counsel of my family and friends for design ideas!

As 20-year veteran of the Army and Special Operations Community, I use woodworking and other custom design capabilities as a creative outlet to build purpose as part of my daily life. There's something meditative about watching a project come to life and the happiness it brings to each customer that makes the long hours worth every second. 

The business started as a hobby in my garage, bringing back old carpentry and handyman skills my father taught me as a boy. Friends and coworkers would  always call me to help fix or build something, and that turned into some small projects for gift-giving. Later, as I made a large CNC purchase on a whim, the garage morphed into a shop, and Barking Blade Design, LLC was born. 

​I began to learn new skills with each and every project (I still do), which led me to add a laser engraver with a few other tools to build capabilities.

​We now house a CNC router, industrial hybrid CO2 laser, Fiber Laser (for metal engraving), and coming soon, a federal firearm license (FFL) for engraving firearm components. 

When purchasing standard items, what you see is what you get. I do my best to keep some of these items on hand however, due to storage space most items are made once the order is placed. 

​Upon the commission of a project, I'll work with you to ensure that your design is realized. Whether it's a phone call, meeting for concept development, or just a few emails; I'll do my absolute best to ensure the finished product is up to the high standard I hold myself to.
